The Josh Frederick Foundation for the Disabled is committed to maintaining and improving the quality of life by providing financial assistance to individuals with spinal cord injuries. The Foundation helps those with spinal cord injuries cover non-reimbursable medical and out of pocket expenses. Those living with spinal cord injuries reach a point where insurance is exhausted and/or funds are no longer available. The mission of this foundation is to assist individuals in returning to an active lifestyle and regaining their independence by allowing them to focus on recovery without financial burden.
Josh Frederick is a well-known name in the ATV world. He is admired for his talent, hard work and sportsmanship from pee wee riders to fellow pro competitors.
Josh experienced a terrible crash at a WORCS round held in Lake Havasu City, Arizona on March 24, 2013 that left him paralyzed from the chest down. A non-profit organization was established, the Josh Frederick Foundation, to assist with financial needs to cover non-reimbursable and out of pocket medical expenses.
While he is proud of his racing championships, he credits his family as his greatest accomplishment. This Moapa, Nevada native born in 1978 married his high school sweetheart, Tiffany, in 2000. They now have 3 children, Madalynn (9), Gavyn (6) and Jaxyn (3). Josh started riding at the age of 6, and began racing at 16. He became Pro in 1994 and raced as a privateer. In 2008 he began racing with Can-Am/DWT/Motoworks. Josh has earned several championship titles including 2005 BITD, 2011 & 2012 12-Hours of La Tuque, 2007, 2008 & 2010 WORCS, 2005 SCORE and last but certainly not least the 2012 SCORE which included the impressive Baja 1000 victory.
